Daniela's Fish Bar

Popped in yesterday evening for fish and chips after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. Fresh, crisp and tasty with friendly service. It was spotlessly clean and they played Fat Man by Jethro Tull whilst we were eating. For you Proggers now that's a blast from past 😎

After reading the reviews I decided to give it ago after being annoyed with Billy's Fish and Chips on Frllgate Ave. I ordered fish abd chips, a poached fish, chips, peas and curry sauce. I was not disappointed. The fish in Batter was delicious and think and chunky, the poached fish was delicious too, juicy flesh, chips chunky and perfect, and the curry sauce was the best i have tasted. It is cooked to order but the staff were friendly and chatted while I waited and they were putting up a big order. I would give this 10/10 and my new go to Fish and Chip shop. You can eat inside also, and sit outside on the better weather days. And parking outside or about 50 yards down turn left parking at the back if road is busy outside the shop. If you use Billy's on Fellgate Ave. Hedworth. This is 6 Minutes away by car. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Great place, very clean and friendly, fish & chips excellent, we had one cod and one haddock, both a good size with crispy batter. We sat in to eat, great playlist too!

We went for fish and chips with our friends dog. We sat outside to eat, and although we ordered a takeaway the lady who served us brought out proper cutlery and bottled condiments. The food was freshly cooked to order, the portion sizes were good and the food was delicious. It was not greasy at all despite being fresh from the fryer and the chips were fluffy inside and crisp outside. Definitely one of the best fish and chips we have ever had. Highly recommended.

We were looking after a friend's dog. and just happened to walk past this place. With seating outside, we asked whether it would be ok to have a meal sat there. Well not only did we get the best fish and chips that we've ever had in our lives (and we're had a fair few!), but we got served with proper cutlery and a serviette, and condiments in containers that you would expect to find in a good restaurant. The food was cooked fresh, and the portions were huge! The fish was lovely and thick, the chips absolutely perfect, and the curry sauce was very different to the sludge that we've encountered in recent fish and chip experiences... There was a little wait for the food, but completely understandable, given that it was cooked to order. But the service was second to none, and we even got a check back during the meal! Absolutely outstanding, and we will most definitely return. Well done, everyone, you deserve to be so highly rated!

Absolutely delicious! Hands down one of the best fish and chip shops I've ever been to. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips were golden, fluffy, and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and quick with service. Portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Will definitely be coming back—highly recommend if you're craving classic, quality fish and chips!
